The short version
- The only information we ask for is what's on our inquiry form. We use it to reply about your inquiry.
- We don't sell your information. We don't use it for targeted advertising.
- We don't pass your inquiry to any affiliated company's sales or marketing team.
- A few service providers handle it for us. Netlify runs this site and receives the form.

Who we are
Tandemcut is a registered assumed name (DBA). Its owner also runs a marketing agency. In this notice, "we", "us" and "Tandemcut" mean the business that operates under the name Tandemcut. Ownership details are shared on request.

What this notice covers
This notice covers:
- this website;
- inquiries you send us through it or by email; and
- business contact details we collect to tell agencies about our service.
It doesn't cover the footage and files a partner agency sends us for editing. Those are covered by our partner policy and service terms, which we give every agency before it signs.
What we collect
Information you give us
When you use the "Start a $199 pilot" form, we collect:
- your name;
- your business email;
- your agency's website;
- your approximate number of client brands;
- your monthly editing need;
- the types of footage you work with;
- your desired start date; and
- your message, if you write one.
We also keep emails you send us. If you book a call through our scheduling page, the scheduling provider collects your name, your email, the time you choose and any answers you give.
Please don't send confidential client footage or sensitive personal information through the form. The form doesn't accept file uploads.
Information collected automatically
Our hosting provider, Netlify, keeps standard server logs when you visit. These include your IP address, browser type, the page requested, the referring page and the date and time. They're used to deliver the site, keep it secure and filter spam.
We don't use analytics tools, advertising pixels or advertising cookies on this site. Our fonts are served from our own site, not a third-party font service. If we ever add analytics or advertising tools, we'll update this notice first.
Information from public sources
To introduce our service to marketing agencies, we may collect business contact details from public sources, such as agency websites and professional profiles. These include name, role, business email, agency name and agency website. Every email we send says who we are and how to opt out. We aim to process opt-outs the same day, and always within 10 business days.
How we use it
We use your information to:
- reply about your inquiry and check whether we're a fit;
- send pilot details and schedule a call if you ask for one;
- set up an agreement and invoice if you decide to work with us;
- keep a record of our business correspondence; and
- keep the site secure, stop spam and meet legal obligations.
Form information is used only to reply about your inquiry. We may follow up about that inquiry. We won't add you to a newsletter or other marketing emails unless you ask.
We don't make automated decisions about you.
Tandemcut and our affiliated companies
Tandemcut's owner also runs a marketing agency. Your inquiry is handled by the people who work on Tandemcut. We don't share it with any affiliated company's sales or marketing, and no affiliated company uses it to contact you or your clients. The owner runs both businesses and follows the same rule.
Who else handles it
We don't sell your information. We share it only with providers that process it for us, under their own terms:

When our form connection is switched on, submissions are passed from Netlify's servers to our email or customer records. That handoff happens on the server, not in your browser.
We may also disclose information:
- if the law requires it;
- to protect our rights or someone's safety; or
- to a successor if the Tandemcut business moves to another company. This notice would still apply to that information.
Our providers are US companies. Your information may be processed in the United States and in other countries where they operate.
We don't sell your information
We don't sell personal information. We don't share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we don't use it for targeted advertising.
How long we keep it

Your choices and rights
- See, correct or delete your information: email info@tandemcut.com. We reply within 30 days. We may need to confirm it's you first.
- Stop emails from us: reply "unsubscribe" (or "no") to any email, or use the opt-out link where one is included.
- State privacy rights: depending on where you live, you may have more rights under state law. We honor the requests above wherever you live. If we decline a request, you can reply to ask us to reconsider.
Security
Only people who need your information to reply to you can access it. We use accounts with established providers to host the site and store records. No website or storage system is completely secure. That's another reason not to send sensitive information through the form.
Children
This site is for businesses. It isn't meant for anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect information from children.

Links to other sites, such as our scheduling page, are covered by those sites' own privacy policies.
Changes
If we change this notice, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top. If a change is significant, we'll say so on this page.
