Part 1 — Website terms of use

1. Who we are

Tandemcut is a registered assumed name (DBA). Its owner also runs a marketing agency. "We" and "us" mean the business that operates under the name Tandemcut. Ownership details are shared on request. By using this site, you agree to these terms.

2. Using this site

This site is for businesses looking into video editing services. Please don't:

• break the law or anyone's rights while using it;
• try to disrupt it, probe it for weaknesses or get into areas that aren't public;
• submit harmful code; or
• submit false information, or someone else's details without their permission.

3. Site information isn't a contract

Plans, prices and descriptions on this site are information, not a binding offer. Work starts only after both sides sign an order form and the first invoice is paid. Prices are in US dollars and exclude any applicable sales tax. We may update the site at any time. If this site and a signed agreement differ, the signed agreement controls.

4. Sample videos

Our Editing styles page shows real edits cut by our editors, labeled "Real edit" (or "Real edit · client work" when the edit was made for a client). The format cards there are labeled "Edit outline"; they describe how we structure each format and aren't samples. Samples show editing styles. They don't show results for any business.

5. Our content

The text, design, logo and samples on this site belong to Tandemcut or are used with permission or under licence. "Tandemcut" is a registered assumed name. You're welcome to link to us. Please don't copy our content for commercial use without written permission.

6. What you send us

Sending the inquiry form doesn't create a contract. We handle what you send as described in our privacy notice. If you mention client names or plans in an inquiry, we keep them confidential and don't pass them to any affiliated company's sales or marketing. Please don't send client footage or sensitive personal information through the form.

7. Other websites

Links to other sites, such as our scheduling page, are provided for convenience. We aren't responsible for those sites.

8. No warranties

We work to keep this site accurate and available, but it's provided "as is." To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties about the site.

9. Limits on liability

To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for any loss that comes from using this site or relying on it. That includes indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here limits liability that the law doesn't allow us to limit. Our liability under a signed service agreement is set by that agreement.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Disputes go to the courts of Fort Bend County, Texas.

11. Changes

If we change these terms, we'll update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.

Part 2 — Service terms: the plain-English summary

This is a summary, not the agreement. For the full Master Services Terms, email info@tandemcut.com. We'll send them before you sign anything. If this summary and the signed terms differ, the signed terms control.

Who you contract with

Tandemcut, a registered assumed name (DBA). Tandemcut isn't independently owned: its owner also runs a marketing agency, so Tandemcut has affiliated companies. An affiliated company means any business run by the same owner, or by the same legal entity under another name. Ownership details are shared on request. Our partner policy explains how we keep Tandemcut work separate from our affiliated companies' business.

The pilot

• $199, one time. Paid by card before work starts. There's no checkout on this site: after a short qualification step, we send an invoice.
• 3 standard shorts for 1 client brand. First drafts of all three within 5 business days after we accept the brief. 2 revision rounds per short.
• One pilot per agency.
• Refunds. If we can't accept the brief (footage unusable or out of scope), we refund in full before starting. There's no refund once editing has started.
• Credit. If you sign up for a plan within 14 days of final pilot delivery, the full $199 comes off your first month.

Monthly plans

Billed monthly in advance. Month-to-month. ACH preferred; card accepted.

• Extra client brands are $50 per brand per month.
• Scale is by application, with limited availability. We accept Scale accounts only after confirming we have the capacity.

What one standard short includes

Up to 60 seconds final length, cut from up to 15 minutes of organized footage (or your timestamps from a longer recording). Up to 2 speakers and 2 camera angles. English captions styled to the brand, checked by a person. Basic sound cleanup, a music bed and basic color correction. Brand text styles, logo, end card and up to 3 simple callouts. Exported in 1 main aspect ratio plus 1 more.

What counts as more than one

• 2 shorts: 61–120 seconds, 16–45 minutes of footage, 3 or more angles or speakers, LOG color grading, or a multi-scene UGC ad matched to a script.
• 1 short: up to 3 alternate hooks or end cards on an approved short.
• $15: each aspect ratio beyond the 2 included.
• Clip discovery (we find the moments in a long recording): 1 per 30 minutes reviewed, plus 1 per clip.
• Rush (first draft next business day, capacity permitting; ask before noon CT): +1.
• Custom quote: motion-heavy animation, 3D, scripted spots, and anything over 2 minutes.
• Not offered: filming, scriptwriting, strategy, posting and community management.

We tell you the count before we start. Nothing beyond 1 short is counted without your written OK.

Revisions

Drafts are delivered into your own shared folder (your Google Drive or Dropbox), with no Tandemcut branding. Each short gets 2 revision rounds. Please send one consolidated, timestamped list of feedback per round on the request board. Our own mistakes (typos, wrong logo, brief not followed, export defects) are fixed free and don't use a round. A new direction, new footage, a different concept or changes after approval count as a new short. Our own mistakes found after approval are still fixed free. A third round counts as 1 more short.

Timing

• Business days: Monday to Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm Central Time. Closed on US federal holidays and December 24 to January 1. Holiday dates are listed on the How it works page.
• Cutoff: briefs received after 12:00pm CT count as received the next business day.
• Intake: within 1 business day, we accept your brief or come back with questions. The clock starts when we accept it.
• First draft: within 3 business days of a short entering production. Shorts enter production at your plan's weekly pace, so sending 24 at once doesn't mean 24 drafts in 3 days. A request that counts as 2 shorts uses 2 of the week's pace.
• Revisions: within 2 business days of your consolidated feedback (minor fixes: 1).
• Final files: within 1 business day of approval.

If we're late

If a first draft is more than 2 business days late for reasons within our control, you get 1 standard short credited in the next cycle. Credits are capped at 25% of that month's shorts. They're the only remedy for lateness: there are no cash refunds. Delays caused by late footage, missing brief information or holidays don't count.

Approval

A short counts as approved when you mark it approved.

Payment

Plans are invoiced on your start date each month, in advance. Work pauses if an invoice is 7 days overdue.

Rollover, pause, upgrade, downgrade, cancel

• Rollover: unused shorts carry into the next month only, up to half your monthly allowance (Starter 6, Growth 12, Scale 20). Rolled-over shorts still follow the weekly pace.
• Pause: once every 12 months, for up to one billing month, with 7 days' notice before your billing date. Your rollover is held.
• Upgrade: takes effect right away. The price difference is prorated, and the extra shorts are added pro rata for the rest of the cycle.
• Downgrade: takes effect at your next billing date.
• Cancel: any time, effective at the end of the current paid month. Tell us at least 7 days before your next billing date. There are no refunds for partial months. Work already in progress is finished.

Your clients stay yours

We don't contact your clients unless you ask us to in writing, and we copy you on any such contact. Neither Tandemcut nor any affiliated company will pitch, accept work from or market to your clients, during the partnership and for 12 months after it ends. At onboarding, we check your client brands against our own and our affiliated companies' current client lists and tell you about any overlap before work starts. Nothing we deliver carries our name.

Files, rights and licences

• You (or your client) keep ownership of your footage, and you confirm you have the rights to it.
• Once the invoice is paid, the final videos belong to you (or your client, under your contract with them).
• The music bed uses a licensed track you supply, or it's left empty so you can add a sound when you post. Your licence must cover your client's use, including any paid ads. We don't use CapCut's music library for client work.
• Project files may reference fonts, music or stock that need your own licences.
• We never use your work publicly without written permission.

How long we keep files

Working files are kept for 30 days after approval, then archived. Archives are deleted 90 days after approval unless you ask us to keep them longer. If you cancel, we export the files you request within 10 business days, then delete them.

Confidentiality

Everything you send is confidential and used only to deliver your work. It isn't shared with any affiliated company's sales or marketing. Any freelance editor we use signs the same confidentiality terms. We'll tell you on request who has worked on your account.

Liability

Limits on liability are set in the signed service agreement. We don't guarantee views, engagement or other results.
